You simply can’t help but fall in love with Amy and Leo, with Amy’s bubbly personality and Leo’s ever so calming ways they are a match made in heaven and were a dream to work with.
Amy & Leo had already booked their venue and also a number of their suppliers before deciding to bring me on board for the final few months of planning and management on the day (although I have to say we did chat via email and text prior to starting as I love to hear how couples planning is going!). The vision they had for what their perfect day was going to be was beautiful and it was up to me to grow those ideas from an acorn into to a great big oak tree!
My first big thank you must go to Tom and Lizzie from Tom Redman Photography for capturing the day so perfectly. I was so excited when I saw the pictures on their own blog and every more excited when they said I could share them mine.
I have to say Lauren from Concept Flowers did an incredible job, everywhere you looked both inside and outside of the venue were flowers …….. Even the table plan was surrounded them.
Amy and Leo’s ceremony was performed by Diana from Grace the Day, both Amy & Leo were beaming from ear to ear throughout the ceremony, with the occasional tear of course, from everyone and not just the bride and groom! Amy’s bridesmaid Chloe performed acoustically with other music provided by Unity Strings.
Following the ‘I Do’s’ guests were treated to a traditional garden party with Pimms, cocktails, canapés, garden games and live music from Al Sirpico and Unity Strings.
Now, the one thing I really loved about Amy through the whole planning process was her attention to detail. From the handmade napkin wraps, to the card basket and candy buffet she thought about absolutely every element of the day. The children had goody bags hidden around the venue to find, there were flip flops near the dance floor for those needing them and even special bride and groom toilet roll!! Amy and Leo fully embraced my ideas as well and normally when a suggestion was made Amy went to her little box of goodies (Amy loved to shop for wedding things) and she would have the exact thing that I was talking about!!\
The wedding cake took centre stage on the top floor of Sopley Mill where the wedding breakfast took place. Scarlett Swing entertained the guests whilst Ian Hewitt delivered delicious tapas style starters, roast joint of pork served at the table and a trio of yummy desserts to finish all served on delicate vintage crockery provided by Blissfully Vintage. All of the tables were named after brands of gin and each guest got to take home with them a mini bottle of homemade gin in a personalised glass.
BB3, a DJ provided by We Perform and The Photo Lounge provided the evening entertainment and kept the guests happy and on the dance floor.
At each and every one of our meetings the star of the wedding was always going to be the wedding ‘cheese cake’ and it certainly did not disappoint – For Amy it was love at first sight, sorry Leo!
A special day for a very special couple. Amy and Leo thank you for giving me the honour of helping you to plan the biggest day of your life. I loved every single second of it and I know that you will make each other smile each and every day for the rest of your lives.
I think the photo below sums the day up perfectly …………. LOVE!
Thank you to each and every wedding supplier for their part in making the day run so smoothly.
